In the U.K. back in the day, Caterer & Hotelkeeper was the go to weekly magazine for restaurateurs and hoteliers. Up until the early 1990’s in the U.K. most establishments (Pubs, Restaurants and Hotels) were independently owned and operated. The explosion of themed concepts and chains coincided with the emergence of celebrity TV chefs.
Times have changed, but many of the tenets of great hospitality and guest service are timeless, and much of the info in these 20+ year old articles are still relevant today.
