Drugs and Alcohol at Work

The 12-minute course for Managers explores the situations and stresses within a restaurant workplace that contribute to substance misuse, potential disorders, and addictions. Managers will understand the prevalence of drug and alcohol abuse by restaurant workers, the triggers that lead to abuse, and some steps and solutions that restaurant managers can take to ensure a safe work environment for restaurant team members.

Government Acts: ADA, FLSA, FMLA

The 8-minute course for Managers introduces three government acts that every restaurant manager should be aware of: the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). During the course, managers will learn what is required to maintain compliance with the acts.

PCI Compliance

The 8-minute course for Managers explores the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI) designated to protect customer payment data. Employees will learn why PCI is important, why it was created, how to identify which data to protect, and how to manage and protect the data.

Preventing Workplace Harassment (Manager and Team Member versions)

The 15-minute course helps define the various types of workplace harassment including protected status and sexual harassment. Employees will learn to recognize who this affects, where it can take place, and what to do if it occurs directly or indirectly.

Understanding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Manager and Team Member versions)

The 16-minute DEI course explores and defines aspects of workplace diversity. Employees will learn what each aspect means, the benefits of workplace diversity, the challenges associated with achieving diversity, and how unconscious bias plays a role.  After the course, employees will understand how to support a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.

Understanding Unconscious Bias
(Manager and Team Member versions)

The 13-minute course defines unconscious and other types of bias. The course will helps employees understand what contributes to these biases and how to be aware of them happening. The course covers ways to consciously change biases to provide a positive work environment and great guest experiences.
