Throughout my years working in the online learning industry, in the back of my mind was the desire to get back to my roots, and help the independent and multi-unit operators by providing cost and time effective online training. With Restaurant Playbooks, my two career paths have converged. My vision is to provide operators with easy to implement and cost effective online training solutions. The approach is to leverage the lessons learned and best practices utilized by high performing organizations. Advances in LMS/platform technology, software and learning data (via xAPI) make this possible at a fraction of the time and cost investments previously required. More on this subject will be covered in future blog posts.
Restaurant Playbooks mission is to:
- Provide employee performance improvement and management tools that are time and cost effective to implement.
- Support the execution of effective online solutions that have a quantifiable positive impact on your business.
- Create learning experiences that millennials and ‘Modern Learners’ will want to engage with… as opposed to the boring ‘page turner’ courses and passive talking head videos that are widely available.
Having spent the last 40 years in both the restaurant and online learning industry, I have had the opportunity and privilege to work with many very talented individuals. This experience has helped me to assemble a team of hospitality industry, online learning industry, and technology professionals. As a result, we are developing a suite of solutions, with the independent and multi-unit restaurant operator in mind.
We recognize that not everyone is ready to radically change their approaches to training. we are creating solutions that are designed to take their current training approaches to the next level, whatever level they are currently at.
Executing this mission is a tall order. The best path to success is an iterative process where training data combined with a continuous feedback loop (by the end users) guides our product and service improvements over time.
To this end, we are seeking early adopters to trial our content as it is developed, and to contribute constructively in the ongoing process of continual improvement.
Please feel free to message me if you would like to discuss how to be involved in the process.
I look forward to serving you!
